Guide: Measuring stair mats

Count the number of steps and decide whether you would like to cover the entire tread surface or prefer your stair mats to be slightly smaller than the steps themselves.

Choose whether you would like your stair tread rugs with nosing or without. The nosing has a depth of 3.5 cm.

Full coverage: Measure the tread surfaces of your staircase and subtract 1 cm from the width and 0.5 cm from the depth. This ensures that nothing extends beyond the edge or catches once installed.

Partial coverage: Determine the desired width of your stair mats. We recommend leaving approximately 5 cm of space on each side. Then decide on the depth. It is common practice to reduce the depth by between 1 cm and 5 cm, depending on the look you want to achieve.
