In nature, wool fibers protect sheep from wind and weather, which is exactly why they are also especially durable and dirt-resistant inside your home. Dirt and odors hardly stand a chance because virgin wool naturally repels them thanks to its protective layer of lanolin, a fine natural wool grease. Loose dirt stays on the surface and can easily be vacuumed away. This keeps your rug looking beautiful for years without requiring much effort.

We always recommend giving your new handwoven rug enough space.
When combining it with furniture such as a sofa or table, make sure to leave some distance on all sides (approx. 30–40 cm). This creates a harmonious overall look and makes your living space feel open and inviting. It’s always better to choose your handwoven rug slightly too large rather than too small!
Our tip: Use some masking tape to outline your planned rug size directly on the floor. This gives you a much better impression of whether your desired custom size feels right in the room.

The underlay is a 2.5 mm thick polyester fleece with strong anti-slip properties and is simply placed underneath your rug. We tailor it precisely to the size of your handwoven rug.
The additional layer also enhances underfoot comfort, making every step feel even softer and more cushioned.
