A kids’ rug is an investment that should last for many years. To help you know exactly what to expect, you can order free samples of the different designs and materials from us. This allows you to experience the quality of the fibers with all your senses and see directly whether the color and design fit your child’s room.
Completely risk-free and with the confidence that you are making the right decision. This way, your child can also be part of the decision and experience their future custom kids’ rug even before placing the actual order.
The surface of our custom kids rugs is usually made of polyamide, one of the most durable fibres available for rugs. The robust looped pile, with a total height of up to 10 mm, features up to 255,000 loops per square metre and weighs 1,730 grams. It easily withstands daily play whilst retaining its shape permanently without becoming flattened.
The soft backing ensures a comfortable feel underfoot, whether worn with or without socks, thanks to modern processes such as the Comfortex Plus fleece. Unlike inferior rugs from discount stores, our kids rugs are designed for long-term use. They will accompany your child for many years without losing any of their quality or look.
Children crawl, roll about and play in their bedrooms – direct contact with the floor is part of everyday life here. That’s why it’s particularly important to us that our custom kids rugs are proven to be safe, so that you, as a parent, don’t have to worry.
This is where the GuT seal plays an important role. Regular, independent tests ensure that the kids rugs are free from harmful substances. This means you can rely on certified quality and let your child play without a care.
Standard sizes rarely fit perfectly. Too small, too large, or simply the wrong shape — many parents know this problem. With us, that’s never an issue. Every kids’ rug is made exactly according to your wishes: in any size, any shape, and with the design that perfectly matches your child’s room.
Whether it’s a large city-themed design covering the entire play area, an adventurous dinosaur motif, or a calmer design for the space under the desk, we bring your project to life. You can even send us a simple sketch of your idea and we’ll take care of the rest. Because where others stop, we are only just getting started.
Our stain protection forms an invisible protective film over the surface. Whether it’s spilt drinks, finger paint or muddy hands: liquids roll right off and can be dabbed away before they soak in. The protection is odourless, free from fluorocarbons and does not alter the rug’s look or feel.
The anti-slip fleece is 2 mm thick and is firmly bonded to the underside during manufacture. It ensures that the rug stays firmly in place on laminate, tiles or vinyl and feels even softer thanks to the additional material. This means no more slipping or unwanted trip hazards – for maximum safety in everyday life.
Every custom kids’ rug that leaves our manufactory in Bad Nenndorf is a unique piece. Experienced team members, many of whom have been with us for decades, pay attention to every detail to ensure that dimensions, border finishing, and craftsmanship are absolutely perfect. Before your rug is packaged and shipped, it goes through several quality inspections.
If you have any questions about your project, we are always happy to help you personally. Simply give us a call or send us a message. We look forward to bringing your project to life.
This floor covering has been classified as Efl. Floor coverings with this classification are considered normally flammable and are therefore suitable for use in residential environments.
This floor covering reduces impact noise. Impact noise occurs when people move across the floor and the resulting sound is transmitted to adjacent rooms. Floor coverings bearing this symbol provide good sound insulation properties.
This floor covering is suitable for installation over underfloor heating systems without any concerns. Heat can pass through the floor covering efficiently and without restriction. Thanks to its low thermal resistance, heat build-up is prevented, ensuring effective heat transfer.
This symbol indicates lightfastness. The floor covering is colourfast when exposed to daylight and UV radiation. Special UV blockers help prevent colours from fading when exposed to sunlight.
This symbol indicates tested slip resistance. Floor coverings bearing this symbol offer enhanced slip resistance. Their surface is designed with slip-resistant properties to help reduce the risk of slipping.
This floor covering helps reduce the build-up of static electricity, enhancing everyday comfort in your home. This symbol applies to residential use only. Separate criteria and symbols are used for commercial environments.
Luxury Class 1 is the lowest level of the carpet luxury classification and represents an entry-level, functional quality. Carpets in this class are durable and hard-wearing but offer less softness and comfort than those in higher luxury classes.
Rugs in Class 22+ offer greater durability than standard Class 22 rugs. They are suitable for moderate to intensive use in residential areas, such as living rooms or hallways with higher levels of foot traffic.
Yes, they do!
The soft surface is one of the main reasons customers choose a kids rug. It adds a significant level of comfort to everyday life.
You’ll notice it in everyday moments when your child enjoys playing, sitting, or lying on the rug — almost like their own little island. The rug doesn’t feel hard underfoot but instead creates a cozy atmosphere where children can truly feel comfortable. If you choose the “anti-slip fleece” upgrade, the additional cushioning on the underside provides even more comfort.
We always recommend giving your new kids rug enough space. When placing it alongside furniture, make sure to leave some room on all sides.
We often notice that rugs are chosen too small. This becomes especially noticeable when the rug is placed on the floor and toys only partially fit on it. It’s always better to choose your rug slightly too large rather than too small!
Our tip: Use some masking tape to outline your planned rug size directly on the floor. This gives you a much better impression of whether your desired custom size feels right in the room.

Absolutely!
Playing on our kids rugs feels noticeably warmer than sitting or playing on a bare floor — especially during the colder months.
With the “anti-slip fleece” upgrade, warmth is retained even more effectively. At the same time, the rugs remain suitable for underfloor heating and still allow heat to pass through.
The rugs also help reduce playtime noise — whether it’s tractors, police cars, or fire trucks: every little adventure stays quiet and comfortable 😉
Yes, they are!
Each product includes information about the respective quality seals and certifications. These indicators show which testing standards and certifications are available, such as those issued by the Association of Environmentally Friendly Carpets (GuT).
It’s important to know that all of our kids rugs and play rugs are manufactured within the EU and produced according to EU regulations. If you need any additional information, simply contact our customer service team:
Many of our kids rugs feature a non-slip backing.
Please check the “backing” specification within the product details.
A standard fleece backing may benefit from an additional anti-slip underlay, especially for smaller rug sizes, to ensure maximum safety. With our popular anti-slip fleece upgrade, which can be added while selecting your kids rug, slipping rugs and curled edges become a thing of the past.
This upgrade is permanently attached to the underside of your rug during production and provides extra safety while playing.
