Measuring your stair treads is easier than you might think.
For stair treads in standard shapes such as rectangles or half circles, we only need the depth and width of your desired tread area.
For spiral staircases, you’ll find a dedicated form with detailed measuring instructions directly in our online shop.
Installation is done using adhesive tape.
For stair treads with an angle profile, the adhesive strip is already pre-applied by us. Once you receive the stair tread, you can simply remove the protective film and attach it directly to your stairs.
For stair treads without an angle profile, adhesive tape is not included as standard. We recommend adding it to your order for installation. The “anti-slip” upgrade can also be selected with any order and provides additional grip, but it does not replace installation with adhesive tape.
Our tip: Before installing your new stair treads, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the stairs first. Dirt and residue could reduce the adhesive strength of the tape.
Yes, absolutely!
We highly recommend our comfort fleece backing upgrade. With this option, your stair treads are fitted with an additional fleece layer on the underside.
This creates a softer and more comfortable feel underfoot while also helping to protect the surface beneath. For products with a latex backing (such as sisal), the fleece layer additionally helps prevent residue or discoloration on your stairs. Thanks to the lightly adhesive coating, the stair tread also stays in place more securely.
