Your new wool rug should be a perfect match for the style of your home.
That’s why you can easily order free samples of the different colors and experience the material with all your senses. This means you no longer have to buy with uncertainty. You get a direct impression of how the unique properties of wool feel on the skin and which color fits your interior best.
In the wild, wool fibres protect sheep from wind and weather, and it is precisely this protective function – honed over millennia – that makes them so hard-wearing in your home too. Dirt and odours hardly stand a chance, as sheep’s wool simply repels them thanks to its natural protective film of lanolin, a fine wool grease. Coarse dirt remains on the surface and can be easily vacuumed up. This means your rug stays beautiful for a long time, with very little effort, and retains its well-maintained appearance even after years of use.
Thanks to its insulating properties, wool has been used to make textiles for over 8,000 years. The fine fibres trap small pockets of air between them, which act as a natural insulating layer. Just like a cosy jumper, a wool rug provides warmth in any situation, without you having to do a thing. The Carpet Institute Australia reports that a wool rug can slightly increase the perceived room temperature. This can help to save on heating costs – a welcome bonus for cooler rooms and the colder months.
By choosing a rug made from the natural raw material wool, you’re opting for a material with a tradition stretching back thousands of years – one that generations before you have already valued as a reliable companion in everyday life. This character is also evident in the manufacturing process: compared to synthetic fibres, processing wool can require less energy. So, with your new rug, you’re combining tradition and modern interior design in a single product.
Our high-quality wool rugs can have a positive effect on the indoor climate. Unlike synthetic materials, the fibres can absorb and release moisture. They can also trap dust from the air at floor level, making it easy to vacuum up. Ideal for allergy sufferers! This can make the indoor climate in your home feel noticeably more pleasant, especially in rooms where you spend a lot of time.
When wool is spun into yarn, it becomes one of the most durable fibres for textiles, having proven itself for centuries in a wide variety of applications. When woven into a rug, it can stretch considerably without being damaged. The material simply springs back into shape after being subjected to pressure from furniture. The surface shows hardly any wear and tear and withstands even heavy use with ease. A high-quality wool rug will serve you reliably for many years whilst retaining its character.
This floor covering is suitable for installation over underfloor heating systems without any concerns. Heat can pass through the floor covering efficiently and without restriction. Thanks to its low thermal resistance, heat build-up is prevented, ensuring effective heat transfer.
This symbol indicates lightfastness. The floor covering is colourfast when exposed to daylight and UV radiation. Special UV blockers help prevent colours from fading when exposed to sunlight.
This symbol indicates tested slip resistance. Floor coverings bearing this symbol offer enhanced slip resistance. Their surface is designed with slip-resistant properties to help reduce the risk of slipping.
This floor covering helps reduce the build-up of static electricity, enhancing everyday comfort in your home. This symbol applies to residential use only. Separate criteria and symbols are used for commercial environments.
This floor covering is classified as Cfl-s1, indicating flame-retardant performance and suitability for commercial and public environments.
Rugs in Class 23 are suitable for intensive use in residential areas, such as living spaces or hallways with high levels of foot traffic. They are distinguished by exceptional durability and are designed for heavily used areas.
Carpets in Luxury Class 3 offer a noticeably softer feel and enhanced underfoot comfort. They combine durability with an attractive appearance and are suitable for living spaces with medium to high comfort and design requirements.
We always recommend giving your new rug enough space. When combining it with furniture, make sure to leave some distance on all sides.
We often notice that rugs are chosen too small. This becomes especially noticeable when the rug is placed under a table and the chairs only partially remain on the rug when sitting down. It’s always better to choose your rug slightly too large rather than too small!
Our tip: Use some masking tape to outline your planned rug size directly on the floor. This gives you a much better impression of whether your desired custom size feels right in the room.

Wool is self-cleaning. That is the power of nature. The natural lanolin in wool protects the fibres and allows stains to fade over time. Wool is therefore resistant to dirt and shows hardly any signs of wear. A wool rug can have a positive effect on the indoor climate. Unlike synthetic materials, the fibres can absorb moisture and release it again later. They can also trap dust from the surrounding air. Ideal for allergy sufferers! Wool rugs are particularly popular because of their insulating properties. Just like a cosy jumper, a wool rug provides warmth in any situation.
Good news: you’ll enjoy your new wool rug for many years because it is extremely durable. Everyday dirt can easily be removed, and even stains are usually nothing to worry about.
With proper and regular care, some wool rugs can even last a lifetime! Please follow our simple care instructions for the best long-term results.
Our tip: Take advantage of the “stain protection” upgrade while selecting your wool rug. It offers excellent everyday protection.
No, it isn’t. Whether placed in the living room, hallway, or bedroom, the surface handles everyday wear very well and is designed to provide long-lasting enjoyment.
